Term: July 20, 2026-September 11, 2026 (8 weeks)
Wage: $27.85 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in communications, program support, and software proficiency while assisting with the delivery of community-based training programs. This position provides opportunities to develop skills in time management, program logistics, materials preparation, records management, and participant support. The successful applicant will also assist with program evaluations and feedback processes to support continuous improvement of training services.

Skills and Qualifications

· Must be between 15-30 years of age
· Must have a Social Insurance Number
· Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License preferred (applicants without a driver’s license may be considered)
· Interest in employment and training service delivery
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations
· Clear written and verbal communication skills
· Basic computer skills, including data entry, report writing, and online job search support
· Ability to provide basic technical support to students participating in virtual learning

Assets

· Knowledge of Gitanyow culture, Wilp structure, and community training needs
· Experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Skills with social media platforms and creative communication tools
· Experience with co-hosting large community events
